The staff heads out to Chili's for their annual awards ceremony, called The Dundies. Michael hosts the evening's event, where rude award categories and intoxicated co-workers make for a less-than-festive atmosphere.

Michael's crude joker of a friend, Todd Packer, drops by the office and shares a tidbit of corporate gossip, annoying everyone. The staff must sit through a video on sexual harassment in the workplace, and Jan and a corporate lawyer stop in to speak with Michael.

Michael spends the day out of the office to close the deal on his new condo, but he gets a case of cold feet. With Michael and Dwight away, Jim and Pam encourage the rest of the staff to play a series of silly games that transform into an Office Olympics.

When a fire unexpectedly causes the Dunder Mifflin staff to evacuate into the parking lot, they play games to pass the time. Dwight becomes jealous when Michael lavishes his attention on Ryan the temp worker, and proves he would sacrifice himself to make Michael happy.

While the Office staff is distracted by their Halloween costumes and festivities, Michael must decide which office member he will lay off to meet the company's downsizing goals. As a joke, Jim and Pam upload Dwight's resume on several job-search websites, and Pam suggests perhaps Jim could get a higher-paying job somewhere else, too.

After Dwight karate punches Michael, Jim organizes a lunchtime rematch at Dwight's dojo where Pam becomes annoyed when Jim gets too friendly.

Michael and Jan try to woo a new, important client over a meal at Chili’s, and Jan is surprised at Michael’s salesmanship. Meanwhile, back at the office, Jim discovers an original screenplay that Michael wrote, and the staff has a good time acting it out.

It’s performance review day, and the staff at the Scranton branch must discuss their work performances with Michael; however, Michael is distracted because he knows Jan will be reviewing his own work performance as well. In the meantime, he prepares for his review by going through the employee suggestion box.

Michael begins to spy on his employees by reading their e-mails, which angers the entire staff. He learns that he wasn't invited to Jim's barbecue, but goes anyway, uninvited. Meanwhile, Pam suspects there may be something going on between Dwight and Angela.

Michael tries to liven up the office Christmas party by suggesting a game of Yankee Swap, but he wants to use the Secret Santa gifts the staff already purchased for each other. While most of the staff wants the iPod that Michael brought (and exceeded the gift price limit to purchase), Dwight has his eye on the very personal gift that Jim brought for Pam.

Michael surprises the staff by taking them on a motivational lake cruise, but he doesn’t want to submit to the ship captain’s authority. Meanwhile, Pam and Roy set a date for their wedding, and Jim makes a decision regarding Katy.

When Michael has an accident with his George Foreman grill, he acts like a petulant child and even declares that he’s disabled. Dwight, in an attempt to help him, has an accident of his own and undergoes a few personality changes.

Jim pals around with Michael so that he can be sure his crush on Pam won’t be revealed to everyone else in the office. Unfortunately for Jim, this means a trip to Hooters. Meanwhile, Dwight suspects Oscar is faking illness to skip work, and his investigation turns up some interesting information about Oscar’s personal life.

Someone leaves a nasty mess on the carpet in Michael's office, which shakes his illusion of being loved by the staff. To try to re-gain his popularity and seem like a regular guy, he takes back his old desk among the sales team (where Jim sits) and initiates a sales contest to rally the troops. Jim is displaced from his seat and has to sit in the back next to chatty Kelly, and away from Pam.

Jan arrives at the Scranton branch to lead a women in the workplace seminar for the ladies of Dunder Mifflin. Michael, upset that he is excluded from this event, leads his own male bonding workshop down in the warehouse.

Michael heads up to a meeting at the Dunder Mifflin corporate offices, and of course since it's Valentine's Day, he embarrasses himself and Jan. Back at the Scranton branch, it's like a typical grade-school Valentine's Day, complete with gifts and hurt feelings and disappointment.

When Dwight must give a speech as the Dunder Mifflin Salesman of the Year, he turns to Michael and Jim for advice on how to overcome his fear of public speaking. The staff battles for control of the office thermostat, and as Pam plans her wedding, Jim plans a vacation away from Scranton.

It's a crazy day at Dunder Mifflin when several employees bring their children in for Take Your Daughter to Work Day. Meredith's son pushes Dwight's buttons, Michael forms an unlikely friendship with Toby's daughter, and Pam tries to get just one kid to like her.

Michael’s birthday arrives, but everyone ignores his special day because they’re more concerned about poor Kevin, who’s anxiously awaiting his medical test results. Pam and Jim sneak out to the store to purchase some party supplies, and the staff takes a trip to the local ice skating rink.

Dwight finds half of a joint in the parking lot, and since he’s a volunteer sheriff, he takes it upon himself to seek out the pot-smoking culprit. As he investigates, a situation arises that forces Michael to borrow something very personal from Dwight. Meanwhile, Pam puts a jinx on Jim, and he cannot speak.

Michael takes on the job of office mediator, and he creates more conflicts than he resolves. Everyone’s secret, hidden feelings get aired out in public.

Dunder Mifflin hosts a Casino Night in their warehouse for charity. The gambling and alcohol create a festive atmosphere for the staff, while Michael invites two women to be his date, and Jim makes a bold move to express his feelings to Pam.
